Good boundaries increase feelings of empowerment and safety, helping our clients achieve more integrated brain states, access creativity, solve problems, and find the time, energy, and bandwidth to do things we love. But what’s the difference between setting a boundary and trying to control someone? What if someone doesn’t respect or pay attention to our boundaries? How do you set boundaries in a healthy way? Many of our clients need help practising and implementing the essential relational skill of boundary setting, which is rarely taught at home, in school, or in the workplace. In this workshop, you’ll explore recordings of real clients learning to set boundaries in session. You’ll also have a chance to practice boundary-setting exercises that can support your work with your own clients, within their different cultural and family structures and social spaces.
