Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SP) is one of the most powerful approaches for addressing complex trauma, trauma-related, and dissociative disorders. Praised by all who have taken SP training, as well as master clinicians like Bessel van der Kolk, Janina Fisher, and Kathy Steele, SP has revolutionized trauma treatment.
For clinicians who have not trained in SP, the challenge has been understanding and implementing SP without seeing it demonstrated and analyzed—an opportunity that has been rare and difficult to access, especially online.
Now, PESI UK has partnered with Sensorimotor Psychotherapy founder Pat Ogden and SP trainer, Tracy Jarvis, to offer you an exclusive free workshop, where you'll experience SP in action. You will observe moment-to-moment interventions Pat employs, accompanied by real-time session analysis from Pat Ogden and Tracy Jarvis on the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy approach used to support even the most challenging trauma clients.
Unlike many therapeutic approaches that focus on verbal narratives and cognitive processing, SP is not traditional "talk therapy." SP works directly with the body, addressing how internal experiences from trauma are organized. This approach directly challenges the chronic patterns fueling distress in complex trauma clients, offering a simple yet effective body-oriented method for treating trauma, acknowledging that trauma, first and foremost, resides in the body.
