Melanie Dottin

Melanie Dottin is the Clinical Director at The Maya Centre, which is an intercultural women’s therapy centre in North London, and a qualified counsellor based in London. The bulk of her work is in the role at The Maya Centre (TMC), which exists to deliver services to low-income and minoritised women. The aim of The Maya Centre is to extend its reach to women from BAMER, trafficked and migrant communities who have not traditionally accessed therapeutic support in relation to VAWG (Violence Against Women and Girls) as well as clients presenting with anxiety and depression wanting to be seen in a women’s only space. Melanie previously managed a counselling service at a local Mind before progressing to The Maya Centre. She is currently a registered member of the BACP and is working towards accreditation.
